These Terms cover your use of Design Canvas, a native Mac app and the website at designcanvas.app. Design Canvas is a product of Speech Bubble Marketing Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Design Canvas you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
1. The service
Design Canvas is a Mac desktop application that renders routes from a running local dev server on an infinite canvas. It’s currently in public beta and is free to download and use while the beta is open. We plan to introduce paid features after the beta. Mac-only for now; Windows and Linux are on the waitlist.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the current version of Design Canvas for your own work (personal or commercial). All intellectual-property rights in Design Canvas remain with Speech Bubble Marketing Limited.
3. Beta disclaimer
Design Canvas is provided “as is” during beta. Features may change or disappear. It might crash. Please back up anything you can’t afford to lose. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the software’s fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or availability.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Design Canvas.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the application.
- Use it to break the law or to infringe anyone else’s rights.
- Circumvent paid features once they ship after the beta.
5. Your content
Design Canvas runs locally on your Mac and connects to your own dev server. We don’t see or store your code or the contents of the pages you render. Screenshots and metadata stay on your machine unless you choose to share them (for example, via a future share-link feature).
6. Termination
You can stop using Design Canvas at any time by uninstalling it. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, or if we discontinue the service. We’ll try to give fair notice when practical.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected to Design Canvas is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (which is £0 while the beta remains free). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can’t be limited under UK law.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. It forms part of these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product matures. If a change is material, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and may flag the change on the home page. Continuing to use Design Canvas after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute will be heard in the courts of England and Wales.
